Martial Arts Marketing Success

There are over 45 forms of mixed martial arts in the world. With these variations, there are millions of different practitioners worldwide. Dojos are built and maintained to cater to this number of martial artists. However, the need to eliminate costs and generate more profits seems to be much more of a challenge compared to teaching the arts. One of the main areas where profit seems scarce is the Karate business. Karate means the art of kicking or punching. Based on the meaning, it is likely to knock any opponent out but in Karate business its strength does not seem to take effect.Everyday, more karate dojos lose business because of the stiff competition surrounding it. These dojos may have the best locations in their area. They may have the best teachers and facilities, yet their operations have gone into a standstill. Why? I believe the reason is poor business strategy.Developing strategic methods does not necessarily mean conducting extensive researches, no; we do not have time for that. It simply means understanding your market and using your advantages as your edge. Just like in the art of Karate, you have to learn how to use your bare hands and knees as weapons. Create a plan and stick to it.A karate business plan does not need to be all that grand. It only has to include four main parts: A. Objectives, B. Mission, C. Keys to Success, and D. How to Use these Keys. The objectives should include your goals. It may a combination of tangible and intangible. Under the mission portion, it should have what you envision your Karate business would look like. It’s like seeing it from dream, only that you know it’s not. The keys to success are those factors that you find unique to your Karate business. It could be that the location is convenient for all your students. It could be the cleanliness of the dojo and the quality of the equipments that you have. Most importantly, it could be the kind of instructors that you hire. And lastly, using the key elements that you have discovered; what are the steps that you should take in order to realize your mission and achieve your goal? Formulate your own Karate business plan using this formula and watch your profits grow.It is vital that you include in your karate business plan the impression you wish a student would have as soon as he/she steps into your dojo. Statistics say that one of the primary reasons why a martial arts student would quit is because of the first impression he had. Remember, it’s all about giving the correct mindset. With a very good plan, martial arts success would be at hand. Martial Arts success has two faces. One is for the shihan or he who owns the dojo. Success for him would mean the satisfaction of seeing new faces as well as the profit he would get. Not to mention keeping illness at bay through regular exercise. Martial Arts success would also benefit the student. Not only will he learn the different levels of discipline, he will also add another hour to his life free from stress. Studies show that mixed martial arts is a form of exercise and meditation that leads to reduced tension, anxiety, depression, and anger. So, start developing your own Karate business plan and welcome to the world of success.

3 Must-Have Items When Starting in the Martial Arts

When you are ready to learn martial arts you must decide from a number of various styles (Taekwondo, Karate, Kung Fu, JiuJitsu, Kung Fu, etc.). Once this choice has been made we can then move to the second step. Second, you will most likely need to buy a uniform that is associated with the style you chose. Third, you will need some other items such as sparring gear to assist in your training. In addition, there are some forms of arts the require you to get the right equipment even before enrolling. The following three items are in my opinion essential for training and practicing in the arts.Gi: A Gi is commonly referred to as a uniform. But, you will tell the actual students of martial arts refer to them as the Gi.Mouth Guard: While sparring, you could possibly get hit in or near the jaw which could effect your teeth. It is wise to practice and spar with a mouth piece while in practice not just a competition.Sparring Gear: The headguard (helmet), chest protector, hand pads, and foot pads and/or shin pads are the most commonly used sparring equipment.Martial arts supplies and weapons:Many martial arts specialize in at least 4 various martial arts weapons. Some of these specialized weapons may include anything from swords, shurikens, knives, and sticks to just name a few weapons. The Kung Fu style is known for the most unique weapons like the Wushu and Butterfly swords, spades, and sectionals. Another piece of equipment many martial artists like are the split machines which allow them to kick higher and become more flexible. These machine pinpoint the muscles that need to be stretched in order to do a higher side, drop, back kick as well as any other type of kicks. When the legs muscles are more flexible a by product of this is also the increased generation of power.Although this is a good list of items to start with when beginning a new martial arts, the most important thing to take is an open and learning attitude. No one has ever walked in a white belt and walked out a black belt in their first training session. The important lesson in martial arts is the focus on continually getting better which then spreads to the rest of your life.

Natural Health – 4 Practical Alternative Health Care Medicine Ideas

Natural Health is alternative health care medicine for our bodies, our planet, and our relationships. The term “natural health” seems to be thrown around with abandon at everything, describing a mixture of philosophies, products, ideas, and opinions. It can be as varied as “taking walks in fresh unpolluted air, to eating organic foods, and countless other definitions in between. A slippery eel that slithers out between our grasping fingers, the concept of natural health does not give us anything firm to hold on to, no framework that is useful for guiding life choices. This is unfortunate for a concept this important. After years of researching and experimenting with lifestyle choices and activities that would keep me healthy and off of the surgeon’s table, I have come to understand that natural health goes beyond mushy meanings and has some very practical uses in our society.First, as a society, we do not take personal responsibility for our own health. We depend on doctors, who depend on the prescription pad, or surgery to “heal” us. While I am certain that advances in medicine have leapt forward over the last century – particularly for accidents and trauma – we can do personal work that can keep us healthy, minimize synthetic drug use, and save ourselves time and money. We just need to decide to do it.Secondly we need to understand that our bodies are small biochemical factories that run on subtle energies and electromagnetic fields. It is this energy flow through the body that keeps us alive and healthy. Eastern cultures have understood this relationship of energy and health for centuries. The Chinese word for life energy is “Chi”, in Japan, it is “Ki”, in India it is “Prana”. There is also a nice tie-in with spirituality in these ideas, if you choose to pursue that.Western medicine is more and more understanding these ideas and how they relate to healing. To stay at our best health we need to pay attention to building the strength of our life energyNext, we need to take care of the planet….. the ball of matter on which we all are passengers through space and time. A clear eyed look around at our environment will show that we have stress fractures in how we grow our food, and how we treat our oceans, rivers, and lakes, and the air that we breathe. If we want to preserve it, and keep it healthy, we must all do even little things that respect our planet, and environment. Finally, there is the matter of relationships with other people, other cultures, other governments, other races. The world is far too tribal and contentious and that leads to stress and conflict – some of which are wars that chew up lives and money. We need to actively seek harmony with others, and not conflict. All of this together makes an expanded, more useful definition of natural health. Using these practices creates a true alternative health care medicine for our body, mind and planet. The 4 Natural Health Practices give us a simple framework for living life naturally, and a definition that helps get past all the hype in the marketplace regarding natural health. They are not necessarily actionable by themselves, but if we adopt the spirit of them into our consciousness, it will help us to make better life decisions and we will be inspired to learn the details of how we can do each one of them well. The 4 Natural Health PracticesStrengthening Life Energy
Putting the right things in the mind and body
Harmonizing – with others and the environment
Exercising the mind and body
